Oh yeah, remember me? It’s been about a year since I have posted. Hello again! I know I keep promising to keep this space updated, but it is seemingly a lot more difficult that I thought to try and keep up. Let’s just start out by saying, I’ve really missed sitting down and just typing. So here we go… again!
When my doorbell rang last week, I was so excited because I was counting down the shipping days until the beautiful PAT McGRATH LABS Divine Rose Palette would finally be in my hands. I gawked it online when it was released in the UK and I figured I had missed out. (Actually I got so excited that I accidentally ordered two and had to return one.) The Limited Edition Mothership VII Divine Rose palette runs at the same cost as all of her other ones, $125 for 10 shades, (1.32g for each eyeshadow) and it’s lovely to look at!
The website states that the palette is a potent provocation of lush floral shadows that envelop the lids in a breathtaking bouquet of finishes. Vibrant golds, lascivious roses, peach provocateurs and exquisite bronzes captivate the eyes with next-level divinity, unprecedented blendability and unlimited multidimensional effects. They did not note that three shades inside the palette have previously been released in other palettes: Skinshow Nude, Astral Solstice and Rose Dusk. The shades, from left to right in the photos are as followed:
- Skinshow Nude is a Champagne Platinum
- Velouria is a Taupe Rose Matte
- Sable Bronze is a Luminous Bronzed Brown
- Refined Gold 002 is a Gleaming Golden Platinum
- Iridescent Pink 003 is a Opalescent Pale Rose
- Xtreme Mahogany is a Rich Mahogany Matte
- Love Lace is a Luminous Pink Bronze
- Rose Dusk is a Mid-Tone Rose Satin
- VR Rose Venus is a Golden Rose Duochrome
- Astral Solstice is a Glittering Platinum
I was one of the lucky ones able to purchase the Limited Edition must-have eyeshadow online during the first USA release. I personally believe it is a scarcity marketing technique, so if you missed it – don’t be upset. It should be released again later this year. You can sign up on the PAT McGRATH website here.
