So – it’s that time again for a makeup haul! This week, I finally had a chance to spend some time at the Charlotte Tilbury makeup counter to make my first CT purchase. I keep seeing the Hot Lips collection everywhere lately, so I knew it would be a good purchase! I also picked up two other products: a beach stick and a bronzer with highlighter duo. The packaging is so pleasing to the eye, too. I had to add them to my collection.
Lipstick: The lipstick is from the new collection in Very Victoria. The shade is a light brown/pink. It honestly looks different on everyone. Very Victoria is a matte lipstick and perfect for everyday wear. Its got a creamy texture, so my lips actually feel moisturized while wearing it. After seeing the color in the daylight, its a little bit light. However, it does stay on all day with only needing a couple touch-ups after food or drink.
Beach Stick: The shade I purchased is in Moon Beach. I gravitated towards it because of the orange/pink tones. To me, it seems more for blush than a bronze, but nonetheless it does its job. This is great for quick application and on-the-go makeup days. It adds a lot with doing so little. When applied to the lips, it really made for a nice extra layer.
Filmstar Bronze & Glow: This could be my favorite product out of the lot. I picked it up in the light to medium shade. The bronzer is great for contouring, never can have too much bronzer! It doesn’t have any shimmer to it, so its pretty straightforward. It is very pigmented, so it does not take work to see the ‘after the beach bronze.’ But – the best part of the duo is the highlighter. I love a good glow! Its easy to apply and of course contains a lot of shimmer and shine. Application is easy: tops of my cheeks and the inner corners of my eye.
