Hi ya’ll! I’m so happy – I was invited to Brown Thomas for their Crème de la Mer Tea Party event last week. I have been a big fan of the brand for awhile now, especially after trying some of my moms body lotion. I never made the splurge because of the big price tag that comes along with it and the fact that there are so many products: how do I know if I’m choosing the right one? However, this event was a sit down tea party to relax, be pampered and learn all about the brand. Set on each table were delicious snacks and we were able to taste multiple different teas from Fortnum and Mason, finished off by a glass of my favorite – prosecco!
Also on every table were bottles of La Mer beauty items to try during the introduction of all the products. Every product contains ‘Miracle Broth,’ which was formulated by Dr. Huber after he was badly burned in a laboratory accident. I have to say, I was a little skeptical, however my skin just drinks it up. Of all the lotions and potions I tried, the brand remained consistent and stood behind its luxury label. I got up from the event feeling like I was glowing and couldn’t wait to get home to try some of these babies in my own daily routine. I ended up scoring some amazing products, which I have been using every day for the last week.
The Cleansing Oil: This detoxifying cleanser transforms into a milky fluid once water is added. As you can see by the bottle, it contains a luxurious shine and shimmer. It is a blend of marine oils, sea salts and tourmaline which makes it extremely easy to remove makeup. While doing so, it also cleanses and conditions the skin. It is definitely a stand-out product.
The Radiant Concealer: When it comes to concealers, I’m always looking for one that brightens my eyes; looking like I’ve had a full rested night sleep. Yes, that’s very unlikely these days. I picked up this one to try out in shade ’01 light.’ It is a treatment cream concealer that corrects dark circles and blemishes. It gives a natural and flawless finish once applied. & it comes with its own application brush. I am also loving that it contains SPF25.
