An Unexpected Makeup Haul: Top Shop

Here’s a fact: I love makeup. I am pretty sure my makeup stash is getting close to the hoarder side. (But props to me: I weeded out my makeup drawers and gave a few bags to my neighbors.) So, don’t send me to makeup-anonymous just yet. As I was headed into town the other day, I popped into Top Shop. I had been eye a pair of leggings and a sweater there which I needed to add to my wardrobe. Whilst browsing the store, I stumbled across their makeup section. Now, I am one that will splurge for makeup, but I thought the prices were extremely affordable. Using the testers I found some nice products and ones that are purse-friendly. I figured I’d give Top Shop makeup a go. I picked up a cream highlighter, an eyeshadow palette and a liquid eyeliner.

The cream glow highlighter is in the shade “gleam.” Now, I am a HUGE fan of powder highlighters, so this grab was a bit random. I tested it on the back of my hand and instantly fell in love. The color is a perfect rose gold, especially during the wintertime. Applying is a breeze, it can be done by either a brush or your fingertip. Just add a bit after your makeup is finished to your cheekbones and brow bones for a boost & glow all day. It runs you €13.00.

This Top Shop liquid eyeliner is my holy grail product. I use it everyday and think I own about 10 of these babies, now. No wonder why its called the Magic Liner. This particular product is in the shade “engraved.” It makes those feminine flicks flawless and easy. Fact: store with the tip facing down in your makeup brush holder, all the liquid will rush to the tip for easy application. The best part is that its only €8.00.

The Smokey Eye Palette pictured above is in “Enigma.” I’ve been using it from the past few weeks and have gotten plenty of compliments. It’s a simple four-shade palette that comes with its own brush and mirror. Talk about convenient. Each shade gives you a large amount of product, so it’ll take awhile before you hit pan. The shades are perfect for a natural look during the day and a smokey dark eye at night. They also are pigmented, not as much as an ABH palette, but it gets the job done. And a plus, its only €16.00.

I think not only what I love about these products is the price, but also the fact they’re great to pop in my purse or travel bag. These three Top Shop makeup products are all staple pieces and the quality is extremely good. You can find them in-store or online.
