40th Anniversary: L’Occitane Review

Hi! Its been about two weeks of testing out L’Occitane products and I’ve got to say how much I love them, so I figured I’d pop in for a quick update. It is the 40 year anniversary, so they’re clearly killing the beauty game! I was gifted the Limited Anniversary Edition Verbena Eau de Toilette, Verbena Rough Cut Soaps, Lavender Foaming Bath, Shea Butter Hand Cream, and the Shea Butter Foot Cream.

After spending time in the Florida sun, and flying as much as I have been, my skin has become much drier than normal. The Shea Butter Hand & Foot Creams are go-to products. The white cream is as thick as butter! Both come in two sizes, (pictured below is the larger 1oz bottle) the smaller size is great for popping in your purse or travel bag for a quick refresh.

The Foot Cream is great to leave on my bedside. I lather it on, put some socks on and let it do its magic. The scent is light, its a great unisex lotion. It leaves a bit of an oily feel, hence the socks tip. The Hand Cream is so popular that every three seconds around the world, someone is purchasing it. I’m with Allure and its one of my favorite, luxurious-feeling creams.  *These are available for purchase in their regular line, so they aren’t limited.

Verbena was the first fragrance in its collection, 40 years prior. Being a graphic designer, the packaging is worth mentioning. The green diagonal lines on the packaging are meant to reference the founders childhood, where you can follow the lines that sweep your eye up to the sky and also to look down at the fields of verbena.

I’m really enjoying the freshness of the L’Occitane Verbena perfume. It is layered with a lemony tone mixed with verbena leaves and a slight smell of rose. It’s a perfect spritz for the summer. Another product in the line are the rough cut soaps. Two bars come in a package. There are exfoliating bits in the soap, which leave my skin feeling soft.

Lastly, the lavender foaming bath is a dream. It creates a generous foam, which is my favorite kind of bath. You only need a little bit too, so this will last quite awhile. The lavender scent calms and soothes. Unfortunately, in this apartment we don’t have a bathtub – so I brought it along with me to Florida for the week. BUT when we move next month, I’ll be able to start using it again!!
